Las Ligas Menores "Fuego Artificial"

Las Ligas Menores "Fuego Artificial" (p)2018 Discos Laptra/Sonido Muchacho
The mostly (namely 4/5) female band from 'the other side of the pond' (namely Buenos Aires, ARG) created the ideal C86 album without - as far as I can see - ever intending it. The songs cover the vast spectre of influences from The Cure's "Three Imaginary Boys" to the Courtney Barnett's finest "Sometimes I Sit And Drink, And Sometimes I Just Sit" through all these possible Brit-related shoe-, post- and nu-gazes, echoes, bunnymen and teenage funclubs. The main thing is that you're not gonna split these songs onto the components so solid they are. The album as a whole sounds natural, and it - as far as I can see - is natural (with particular emphasis on 'is').

P.S. It's funny how the best things don't generate much words (this is called "left me speechless").

Los Rusos Hijos De Puta "La Rabia Que Sentimos Es El Amor Que Nos Quitan"

Los Rusos Hijos De Puta "La Rabia Que Sentimos Es El Amor Que Nos Quitan" (p)2015
How could I miss the band with such the significant name as "The Russian Sons Of A Bitch"? No way!
First I catched them two years ago - just when they released their "Hola" EP supported by the video for the album's most spastic track "Tu Mami" where the frontwoman Luludot Viento convulsed in the sands with her tits naked. The passed years made the positive impact on the band's abilities, and "La Rabia Que Sentimos Es El Amor Que Nos Quitan" is here not only to distress you. If "Hola" was just an invitation then "La Rabia..." is full-fledged tour into the convoluted world of the band. "Going the bad way towards something good" is their motto. It's strange, but somehow it describes correctly all that happens within these 30 minutes of spazz-punk coloured with the bursts of digital noise and occasional male vocals. Like on the previous release, Luludot roars, screams and shrieks like hell but now it seems like everything here has sense. Oddly attractive, this album is not going to be your guilty pleasure but the kind of madness you'd want more.

Alucinaria "La Ultima Rotacion Del Sol"

Alucinaria "La Ultima Rotacion del Sol" (p)2012 self-released
Love comes in mysterious ways. The great things seem to come out of nowhere. Some of them may be criminally overlooked because no one expects them to come out. Thou shalt not overlook because this is the real true gem.
Alucinaria are from Rosario, Argentina. Spearheaded by Pablo Comas, the singer/ the guitarist/ the primary songwriter, the band plays loud but intimate alternative rock with twists and turns. In terms of songs structures Pablo could be the 'divided at birth' brother of Mikel Izal, because aforementioned twists and turns (i.e. unexpected changes in rhythms and dynamics within the sole song) resemble me of the Madrid-based folk-rock reformators' modus operandi (taking in mind that Aluciarians are punching much harder). Despite the structural unlikeliness the songs of Alucinaria never lose the pop feel, and every one of them tightly keeps you safe within the realm of Her Majesty the Melody. Do the guys know some recipes of the local indigenous people's arsenal?

The best tracks: "Prende Y Apaga", "La Quimera", "La Fuente", "Bailarina Del Futuro"
